“Heta Tharu,” an impactful initiative by the Leo Club of Informatics Institute of Technology, was designed to uplift and empower the younger generation through education, awareness, and well-being. The project was carried out in two meaningful phases, each targeting a different age group to create a well-rounded community impact.
Phase 01 focused on enhancing the academic performance of Grade 10 and 11 students preparing for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination through a structured science seminar, providing syllabus-based knowledge, exam techniques, and motivational guidance. Building on this foundation, Phase 02 shifted its focus to early childhood development by promoting nutrition and food safety awareness among Montessori children through interactive, fun-based learning experiences.
Together, both phases reflect the core vision of “Heta Tharu”, to nurture knowledge, inspire confidence, and promote healthy lifestyles from a young age, ultimately contributing to the development of a well-educated and healthier future generation.
