Project Praana was a collaborative initiative organized by the Leo Club of IIT in partnership with the IIT Regional Centre in Galle. It took place on October 16, 2025, at the IIT Regional Centre. The project aimed to promote health, wellness, and humanitarian service through a blood donation campaign and a community health awareness program. Recognizing the growing demand for blood donations and the importance of public health education, Project Praana sought to bridge the gap between awareness and action.
The initiative encouraged individuals to contribute to society by donating blood, thereby offering the “gift of life.” Additionally, it equipped participants with valuable knowledge on maintaining a healthy lifestyle through free health check-ups and consultations.
By combining compassion with action, Project Praana embodied the Leo spirit of “Leadership, Experience, and Opportunity,” resulting in a positive impact on the Galle community and inspiring youth involvement in life-saving service initiatives..
