Pink Pledge ’26 – Phase 01: Standing with Strength, Compassion, and Hope
In support of cancer awareness and patient wellbeing, the Leo Club of IIT successfully carried out Pink Pledge ’26 – Phase 01 on 23rd January 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in collaboration with the Indira Cancer Trust. The initiative aimed to provide emotional support, raise awareness, and extend meaningful assistance to individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
The project began with a visit to the patients, where Leo members spent quality time through singing, dancing, and personal interactions, creating moments of joy and emotional comfort. As part of this engagement, donated milk packets were distributed to support patient nourishment and wellbeing.
Following the patient visit, the team returned to the Indira Cancer Trust premises for informative sessions with the management, gaining insight into the organization’s patient care services and support programs. A breast cancer awareness session further educated participants on early detection and prevention.
The project concluded with the donation of essential food items to support patients receiving care at the trust. Overall, the initiative provided a meaningful blend of compassion, awareness, and learning, making it a deeply impactful experience for all involved.
