Leo Club of IIT Strengthens Its Mission with “Sight Beyond Life – Phase 02”
As part of its unwavering commitment to service and compassion, the Leo Club of IIT proudly carried out the second phase of Project Sight Beyond Life on 6ᵗʰ September 2025 at the Wadduwa Buddhist Monastery. Building on the success of Phase 01, this initiative once again aimed to inspire individuals to pledge their organ and eye donations, offering the gift of sight and life beyond their own time.
The setting at the monastery provided a deeply spiritual and meaningful backdrop, perfectly aligning with the Buddhist philosophy of selfless giving and detachment. Guided by Leo members, attendees were educated on the life-changing power of organ and eye donations. The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with 100+ new pledges, each one a promise of light, hope, and compassion.
The initiative continued to serve multiple goals:
- Promoting Organ & Eye Donation Awareness
Reinforcing the importance of pledging and how one donor can save or transform multiple lives. - Encouraging Selfless Giving
Aligning the project with Buddhist teachings to inspire compassionate action. - Strengthening Community Engagement
Uniting temple visitors, the local community, and Leos to work towards a shared humanitarian cause. - Leadership & Service in Action
Leos once again took charge of awareness campaigns, donor registration, and logistics, enhancing their teamwork and leadership skills.
The impact of Phase 02 was strongly felt across multiple dimensions:

Through Phase 02, the Leo Club of IIT continues its journey of lighting lives and inspiring change, proving once again that one person’s vision can brighten the future of many, even beyond life itself.
