Leo Club of IIT Uplifts Spirits with “Timeless Care – Phase 02”
Continuing its heartfelt mission to serve with compassion, the Leo Club of IIT carried forward the legacy of Project Timeless Care – අරුණෝද සේවය through its second phase, held on 1ˢᵗ October 2025 at the Grace Perera Home for Elders, Dehiwala. Titled “ආදරනීය දවසක්”, this phase focused on nurturing emotional, spiritual, and social well-being through mindfulness, fellowship, and kindness.
The event was filled with warmth as Leos hosted a Tea Party and Seth Pirith chanting session, conducted in collaboration with the resident monks of Hathbodhi Raja Maha Viharaya. Elders were served light refreshments, including biscuits, cupcakes, and bananas, followed by the distribution of spiritual books to encourage peace and reflection. The soothing chanting of Seth Pirith created an atmosphere of serenity, offering blessings to all attendees and uplifting the hearts of everyone present.
Beyond spiritual enrichment, Leo volunteers took an active role in preparing refreshments, coordinating pirikara offerings, and ensuring that every elder felt valued and cared for. Their dedication reflected the essence of Leoism—service through compassion, connection, and humility.

With prayers, laughter, and togetherness, Project Timeless Care – Phase 02 beautifully demonstrated that service transcends time and age. The Leos of IIT once again proved that compassion can heal hearts and bridge generations – one act of kindness at a time.
