Leo Club of IIT Uplifts Elderly Lives with “Timeless Care – Phase 01”
As part of its continuous mission to serve with compassion, the Leo Club of IIT proudly launched the first phase of Project Timeless Care – අරුණෝද සේවය on 9ᵗʰ September 2025 at Grace Perera Home for Elders, Dehiwala. Conducted in collaboration with Bulathsinhala Divisional Hospital, this initiative focused on supporting senior citizens with both medical care and emotional well-being.
The program was led by a specialized ICOPE medical team under the guidance of District Medical Officer Dr. Ranjith Dissanayake, who carried out health assessments, age-related check-ups, and personalized consultations. Beyond the medical aspect, Leo members engaged the elders with guidance on hydration, rest, simple in-bed and neck exercises, mindfulness, and positive lifestyle practices that contribute to healthy aging.
The day was further brightened with singing, dancing, and interactive activities, creating an atmosphere of joy, laughter, and companionship. The initiative reflected the Leo spirit of gratitude, reminding society that caring for those who once cared for us is a timeless duty.
The initiative continued to serve multiple goals:

The impact of Phase 01 was strongly felt across multiple dimensions:
