Leo Club of IIT – General Meeting | August 2025

The Leo Club of IIT proudly held its second General Meeting of the Leoistic Year on the 25ᵗʰ of August 2025 at GP Square. The evening commenced with the National Anthem, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the National Flag and the Leo Pledge, instilling a sense of pride and unity among all members.
The meeting featured a structured agenda where the Secretary and Treasurer presented their reports, highlighting recent achievements and progress. In his address, the President recognized the efforts of several directors and appreciated the active participation of members in club projects. He further commended the remarkable success of the “Sight Beyond Life” initiative, which reached over 100+ pledges for organ donation.
We were honored by the presence of distinguished Leo leaders:
- Chief Guest – Leo Lion Randiv De Silva, District Treasurer – Leo District 306 D1
- Guest of Honor – Leo Ayesha Basnayake, District Assistant Secretary – Leo District 306 D1
- Special Guest – Leo Sanjana Fernando, Zonal Director – Zone A2, Leo District 306 D1
The Special Guest encouraged timely submission of reports and wished the club well for its upcoming projects. The Guest of Honor pointed out a few minor mistakes but emphasized that the meeting was well-prepared overall, extending her best wishes for the year ahead. The Chief Guest also noted areas for improvement but praised the club’s strong execution and urged members to take on more impactful projects. Finally, the Leo Club Advisor, Lion N. Janarthan, shared his words of encouragement, motivating the club to keep striving forward.
The evening concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the club secretary, marking the meeting not just as a formal gathering, but as an inspiring space for mentorship, recognition, and shared purpose. Together, as one Leo family, the club looks ahead to a year of unity, service, and greater achievements.
